For west-coast style rail fishing for giant Tuna. Using the boats rail as a fulcrum point for leverage fighting big fish will tear up a rods foregrip in a hurry. Cold shrink over the foregrip works OK but is ugly, bulky, expensive and slippery when wet. The Rail Dawg grip solves these problems. Stay tuned for more pictures of the Rail dawg Grips in action!

Thur. February 10, 2011: “THE RAIL DAWG”
Salty Dawg,” Bill Haven,” has a new for-grip that replaces the soft Hypo on your Rail Rods. This system is ultra tuff and withstood the abuse of many big fish fought using the rail. The new grip didn’t tear or hurt the rod in any way like the softer Hypo that is normally on the rod. We really put it to the test using the rod as a “kite rod” for the trip and we are impressed with how well the new grip held up. Thanks for the Prototype Salty!! We are making good time traveling up in nice weather and enjoying some fine Sushi prepared by Chef Javier. Tomorrow is “Brunch Day”. “The Intrepid Team”

“We put together a very nice day of fishing today,” said the report from Intrepid for March 22. “The conditions this morning were not very good for tuna fishing so we opted to target the wahoo for the first half of the day. It was some exciting action at times and everyone boated some skinnies to drop in the RSW well. This afternoon we found ourselves in the right place to get in on a bird school that just popped up close enough for us to get on. The tuna fishing for the last few hours today was what everyone dreams about when planning a long range adventure. The action was fast and explosive! The yellowfin were all 140 pounds to over 200 pounds with the majority being in the 180-pound class. We did lose two fish in the bite that were acting like real jumbos. The new 3×5 Super Seeker Rod is a beast and a must-have for anyone who targets trophy yellowfin. The 3×5 paired up with SaltyDawg’s ‘Rail Dog’ put the wood to some big tuna today. Tonight we will get back to catching bait and be ready for whatever tomorrow brings us.”

Cant wait to see them on the east coast.

Are you actually selling them to the east coast and if what would the cost be?
